COLUMBUS TURKEY TROT FEATURED IN 2008 RUNNER'S WORLD MAGAZINE!

WHEN/WHERE
Thanksgiving morning, November 27th, 9:00am.  (Kid’s Races 8:30am) The race will start and finish at the Shops of Lane Avenue.

“SWAG BAGS”
The ORIGINAL Columbus Turkey Trot 5 Mile Run is a holiday favorite and is designed for anyone interested in health and exercise including WALKERS. It’s also a great way to “earn” your dessert before that big holiday feast. All runners and walkers receive a great looking long sleeve TECHNICAL shirt with logo, a fantastic restaurant certificate compliments of the Buca di Beppo Restaurants, EAS energy bar, great finish line food and beverage.

OVER 2000 FRESH KROGER PUMPKIN PIES AWARDED
We will award 2000 Kroger “ready to eat” Kroger pumpkin pies the first 1000 male and 1000 female finishers in the 5 miler!  The first 100 walkers in the two mile “Walk and Talk” will also be awarded a fresh baked Kroger pumpkin pie.

WALK & TALK 2 MILER
This new addition is for the more casual walker who likes a shorter distance; Great for the entire family. The first 100 walkers receive a fresh Kroger pumpkin pie!

TOT TROT KIDS RACE - KIDS MUST PRE-REGISTER
Bring the kids to the Tot Trot, a 200 yard dash before the race. Kid’s will receive a race shirt, race packet and special treat. Kids can participate for a small entry free and receive a Tot Trot t-shirt, a commemorative finisher ribbon and  special Thanksgiving Day treat. Register the kids online when you register. KIDS MUST PRE-REGISTER! All children will run a 200 yard course. We can not guarantee the availability of childrens t-shirts for child registrations received after November 22nd. Thank you.

PACKET PICK-UP DETAILS / WALK-IN REGISTRATION:
Over 4000 runners and walkers are expected to compete so beat the last minute rush and pick-up your race packet in advance! Why wait till race day?  Packet will be issued at FrontRunner beginning Nov.15th.  Hours: M-F (10am-8pm), Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday Noon-5pm. Walk in registration welcome!

7:00am - 8:55am, correct change appreciated.

BEN’S FUND:
A portion of this years’ proceeds will be donated to the Madison County Humane Society which is greatly in need of assistance. This contribution is in honor of “Ben” and all of the wonderful dogs and cats we have loved and lost over the years.

FOOD PANTRY AND SHOE DONATIONS:
For years FrontRunner has collected shoes at the Turkey Trot for distribution to those less fortunate. Please bring your old running shoes on race day for collection.  Additionally, we are expanding the cause by collecting canned goods or monetary donations for the United Methodist Food Pantry. Your thoughtful donations will help feed over 200 families a month. Thank you.

ABOUT THE COURSE:
The race starts and finishes at the Shops on Lane Avenue
(1585 W. Lane Avenue). Runners and walkers will go east on Lane Ave for about a mile and will turn north (left) at Kenny Rd. Walk and Talk 2 Mile participants will turn around at Lane and Kenny). Take Kenny another 1.5 miles and return. There will be two fluid stations.
